Chasing Coral is dedicated to a phenomenon that continues to increase with each passing year: Coral reefs are disappearing at an alarming rate around the world. Jeff Orlowski's film crew, along with a group of divers, underwater photographer Richard Vevers and marine scientists like coral expert Zackery Rago, are diving deep to investigate this troubling trend and the causes behind it. In doing so, they encounter the beauty of the underwater world, which is still fascinating even when dying, but also a constant change in the oceans, which includes, for example, hot currents.
